Peter Campbell Family

The Peter Campbell family presented by granddaughters Helen (Johnson) Frings, and Jean (Johnson) Desmond, as they share family stories and treasured household utensils. Peter purchased the land where the Tundra House now sets, and opened a butcher shop in the late 1870s.


Halstead Family

The Halstead family gathers for a photo at the Halstead, Martinson, Herlache, and Bagnall presentation. Alec and Jenny Halstead deeded the Good Templars' Hall to the Town of Jacksonport for use as the Town Hall. It is now the Town Hall Bakery.

Simon Family

Martha (Simon) Brauer presents Six Generations of Simons in Jacksonport. Martha's mother, (Martha Cassills) Simon, (1st generation) arrived in Chicago at the time of the great Chicago Fire in 1872. She was a midwife, seamstress, and churned as much as 60 pounds of butter a week, and delivered it to her customers by horse and buggy.
